OH YEAH! Spoilers are out already. House is a slightly different case for me than TW, although similar in that I loved the first two seasons and feel there's been serious problems since the third, but I don't really ship-war there. I am a H/W shipper, but I accept (mostly) what happens to the characters in terms of canon, because it's fodder for the angst and to me H/W is all about the pain they cause each other.
My major issues lately are about the Newbies and the extremely UN-subtle writing verging on the anvil-iciousness.
*joy* I agree that House has been going downhill, and I'm not a fan of the newbies either (If anything, I think the team should have evolved gradually - ie, one character leaves and another is recruited, and the core cast slowly changes). Though my reaction to the S5 finale consisted mainly of staring at the screen going "What the fuck? No, really, what the fuck?"
I think the team should have evolved gradually - ie, one character leaves and another is recruited, and the core cast slowly changes. Well that would have been, oh what's the word I'm looking for....LOGICAL. Can't have that, can we?
Yeah, the finale was...intense? And really confusing, because I still don't see "reality" Wilson acting like that much of an idiot, so I'm not clear what part of the "day after" was supposed to be real or not.
I did like the reveal and especially Kutner's appearance, which is bizarre since I'd spent the whole year hating on ALL the Newbies including Kutner.
There are two things that have always disappointed me with the way they taste versus the way they smell: shrimp and onion rings. Shallot rings, on the other hand, could not possibly be anything other than divine. (Now I'm pondering the notion of shallot fritters....)

The shallot rings were really amazing. Light and crispty and heavenly. If you ever get to SF, we're so going there for brunch.
