I've been really curious to see what you were up to in SoP-land ever since you asked me that question about Dominic the other day, and I love where you went with it, so deliciously dirty. Love that edge of this-is-so-wrong undercutting Cal's pleasure, and the hint of Cal/Stephen :)

It was harder to write than I thought it would be. I hadn't realized how hard-wired my Cal/Anne/Stephen (in various combinations) shippiness is. But post series Cal is going to be such a bloody mess, and I could sort of see him being drawn to Dominic's amorality, as opposed to his own "trying to do the right thing" good intentions.

Wow, I had no idea there was a SoP LJ... as if I haven't got enough fandoms already, argh....! But it was a BRILLIANT show and it's a real shame that the mooted second series never happened... wonder what the chances are now the concept has gone Hollywood? Not sure if they would be better or worse... I haven't seen the new version and doubt I ever will - it it ain't broke don't fix it is my opinion, much as RC was good in Gladiator and Master & Commander - why does that last feel like a Simm!Master fic title to me?!?- that character is John Simm's...*sigh*

Anyway, reckon I'm going to have to join this here group... nice to see some familiar names from LoM & DW LJs... guess we're all Simmettes, right?!?

F/Y/I, we also managed to get State of Play nominated for last years yuletide, and quite a few fics were written for that.
Here's the stories.

State of Play is a great, small, wank-free fandom, and I love being a part of it. I think we were mostly pretty disdainful of the American remake, but obviously I can't speak for everybody.
