Thanks so much. Ray is probably the trickiest LoM character for me to write, with the possible exception of Annie. I wanted to make it sound real, and somehow the 2nd person seemed to work for that.

I'm glad you liked because this was the second night in a row where I've really struggled with the KEL. I honestly should have stuck with my resolve NOT to do MMOM this year, because just not (ahem) coming that easy this year.

Thanks sweetie! I could totally hear Ray's voice as I was writing. I don't like the character, but I can really understand his resentment of Sam's intrusion into the "family" set up that existed before he showed up.

Ah, I knew there must have been some around (I wasn't thinking and clicked your ashes to ashes tag whereas of course I should have clicked your life on mars one!). Still love these snippets and Ray's voice and hope for more in future - even as second-best, bring it on, you know I can stand the angst XD

I've actually warmed to Ray quite a bit since this was written. If A2A has redeemed anyone, it's actually him. I like that he's still a tosser, but we get to see a bit of soul in there from time to time. Aside from OH-SO-WRONG Gene/Shaz thing, I have a bit of a yen for Ray/Alex hatesex, because I think it would be EPIC.
