He can, and I'm convinced he did. I can't fault Eccleston for wanting to leave, but it really drives me nuts that we didn't get more Jack/Rose/Nine interaction. Much as I love Barrowman and Tennant, there was a whole other thing going on with Eccleston. Even that little exchange at the beginning of Boom Town has so much sizzle-icious potential.

Lovely little fic! I ditto your above comment about the Nine/Jack/Rose relationship. Those three actors just had so much chemistry (despite John Barrowman's later comments) and I really wish we could have seen more of them.

Ah well, that's what fan fics like this are for!

Thank you so much. Series 1 Dr. Who Jack is and will always be my favorite. To me that is who Jack was and essentially still is. Omni-sexual and poly amorous.

The Jack/Nine/Rose chemistry is so strong that it just underlines the tragedy of what happened to Jack in terms of being left behind when Rose/Ten went on together and bonded without him.
