I have to admit, when I watched, I was interested. But reading your post made me realize how little I retained, and that's a shame. Any clue when the show will start up again?
I got vaccinated (Pfizer) and go back April 1 for the second shot. Hoping it goes as easily (in other words, a non-event). Sadly, two elderly cousins have died from the virus, and a few friends had a nasty bout with it but none needed to be hospitalized although I heard of people who did. Sigh.
I'm taking a language class via Zoom and have started up spool knitting and loom knitting again via YouTube vids. There is waaaaay too much yarn in my house! LOL
Whee! Nice to see you around and glad you're okay and have survived the last year! I imagine you're missing your karaoke just as much as I'm missing my choir, dancing and drama rehearsals - can't believe it's been over a year now without any live music in my life!
And yay for catching up with Doctor Who! I too am finally catching - with a rewatch in my case but since I have only seen any of these episodes once and can barely remember anything about them it's almost like watching for the first time!
Jackster and I have finally got through S11 (which was a REAL SLOG) and are looking forward to S12 which definitely had some amazing episodes and as far as I remember even the dull ones weren't quite as dull as S11...
So there will be nattering about the eps you're talking about here over the next few weeks (we're doing mostly one ep a week on Fridays) but for the time being let me just say I loved Spyfall Part 1 ( reaction post here) but was disappointed by Part 2, don't remember much at all about Orphan 55, remember quite enjoying
( ... )
Oh, hang on, I did review Spyfall Part 2 but LJ didn't copy the tags across from DW - which, I've just discovered, happened a lot last year! (Well, often it wasn't copying entries across at all. It's amazing there's anything here, tbh!)
We binged watched the rest of the season. Some good stuff, but NOTHING as incredible as THAT MOMENT. I downloaded the New Year's Special and all the Jack stuff was just one big happy dance for me. I'm not engaging about it anywhere but here for obvious reasons and I'm not looking to fight the battles again. But seriously....I mean he's even going to see GWEN!!!! What's not to love? I'll go read your recaps now.
It's going to be a while until we get real Karaoke back, even if the planned June 15 "reopening" goes through. In the meantime, it's still virtual and I even have my own pink microphone.

I watched the New Year's/Christmas special and felt so smug. (Such an attractive look.)
Lots of yarn here too. Hubby goes through periodic knitting/crochet phases and is incapable of throwing anything out.
