I know...I mean I went through two phone interviews, one face-to-face, plus the background check...and I've been miserable at DOD for sooooo long. I just wish I could have a "Day of Jubilation." Mostly just feeling a little relief, a lot of loss...so many years here being miserable....leaving some nice people behind, but also some admins I WISH I could make a "why you suck" speech to, which I can't.

I'm sure he feels that he was completely justified, but he really left me high and dry dealing with exactly what he couldn't take anymore.

Maybe more like a bad marriage. I'm sad that I couldn't make it work and resentful of the time I spent trying.

More like desperate at this point. It's just a miracle that I got a job in this economy, at more or less the same pay, with benefits that I think I might actually enjoy. (Puppies would still have been my first choice, but I'm not in a position to sleep on couches and eat Ramen.)
