Congratulations and Jubilations to the Boston Red Sox

And their fans. The town and the whole region certainly deserves it after what went down earlier in the year.

A most sincere thank you. :D It's definitely different being a Sox fan now than when I was a kid, but it's always been the zealotry that set us apart. Aside from really needing it this year, we're seeing now that it doesn't ever get old (unless we turn into the Yankees, god forbid). But my little cousins got to see their first and my grandfather got to see three, which is pretty great.

You'd have a long way to go to hit the levels of arrogance displayed by the Yankees and their fans. I had the privilege of arriving in San Francisco just in time for the really great 49'ers years and I know we could get pretty damn insufferable...and yet how we've paid for it since.

LOL, no kidding. I was living in Manhattan when the Yanks won in 2009, and it was nowhere near the blowouts we have here. I think it'll always be a huge deal for us, whether it's been six or eighty-six years. It was always less about the curse than about the strength of the fanbase. My grandfather was a fan for seventy years without a World Series win, and that's a pretty common narrative.

Legal Seafood is the BEST. My native of New England co-worker torments me with food porn everytime he goes back east.
