Thanks! I'm not sure that my remaining LJ-Flist is necessarily interested in the kind of thing I post to Tumblr, but I figure they might find some of it amusing.

Ha. tumblr. too hard. too much scroll. reduced to telegraphic. communication. with inappropriate punctuation.

...I'm surprised your eggs lasted a whole hour. Once I went from, 'hmm, what's that smell' to 'neighbours must be burning something' to 'BLAMMM!'. Then I rememebered. Bits of egg everywhere and one blackened saucepan. Sigh.

I'm surprised as well. The eggs were a loss, but they were in-tact and the pot wasn't too bad. I aired out the kitchen and everything was fine. I did feel like apologizing to the hens for wasting the eggs, since I have been splurging on the organic, cage-free kind.

Tumblr works well to keep me sane during work---although I realize the sanity proposition is questionable. I can scroll through pretty pictures and reblog all the puppies and other things I like.

No, it's for my 9 suitcases.
As someone who's just spent the morning fitting all my and hubby's motorbike gear (helmets, boots, *armoured* jackets), tech, and everything else for 10 days in the States into 2 suitcases and 2 bits of hand luggage, I'm having hysterics right now.

Motorbike travel will teach you to pack economically---and make your saddlebags into the TARDIS---bigger on the inside.

Those vacuum seal shrink bags are great for squashing stuff into panniers:-)
Almost as good as a Tardis in fact.

I'll make sure to wave to your general direction when we're waiting for our connection at SFX on Monday!

They know that the people who were being oppressed were likely to band together under whatever flag was offering liberation, so to that extent they had a point, but this embrace of an totalitarian just because he agrees with their psychotic prejudices is hilarious, but also terrifying.

And his little nick-names. Putin was Poot-poot. GAH! I'd say calling George Osborne, "Jeffrey" is pretty small on that scale of loathesomeness.

He was when it came to nick-names. Don't forget that Karl Rove was "Turd Blossom."
