More on Barrowman in "Arrow"

I'm somewhat amused about how long they're dragging out this WHO IS HE PLAYING? thing. Since I'm not into comics and have no investment beyond "BARROWMAN!" I honestly couldn't give a fig about WHO. I sat through all his Desperate Housewives eps, with pretty much no clue about anything that was going on.

I caught chunks of "Arrow" before "Supernatural" and it looks pretty bad. But that's just me, I tend to watch very little television. Just obsess over one or two programs at a time.

I'm the same as you. I watched that one series of desperate housewives purely because he was in it. I had no clue (and very little interest) as to what was going on.
Might have to give this new series a go though I'm not expecting much from it.

I hope John appreciates the things we do for him. (You know, going to Birmingham in January.) I think even though this isn't my kind of show, it might be a good role for John, in terms of playing to his personal charisma.

I watched the first episode of Arrow and enjoyed it very much. Mind you I only watched it because JB will be in it and I wanted to understand the series but I am quite a fan of this sort of thing anyway. The main actor is quite presentable and there's some interesting stuff with his family.

Good to know. I'd really LOVE for John to be part of something that's more US-based (I know they film in Canada) and that catches on here, rather than coming in for a small arc toward the end like the DH gig. I still think he has the potential to be a big star here, but the window is starting to close.

I couldn't even watch Desperate Housewives. I watched the bits with just him in it that some kind soul edited together and posted.
