Ah, I guess it's inevitable, both Jack's and Spock's parts here. Having Jack "meet" Kirk this way is really neat.

Jack, you have NO idea!

I like the way you are slowly developing the relationship between these two. You have me curious as to whether they will turn out to be lovers, friends, or simply colleagues.

I feel so sorry for Spock, at the same time I wish he'd give himself leave to risk caring for someone again. His father's marriages should have taught Spock that letting another person in isn't the same as replacing them. No one could ever replace Amanda in Sarek's mind or heart.

btw, If Jack's wounded heart or ego, need soothing, I'm available. ;)

Well, this is JACK we're talking about. Whatever he's offering is probably more in the temporary solace department. I think they could reach more of an understanding than they've achieved in the story thus far.
