Summary: Star Fleet needs Torchwood. What could possibly go wrong?
Spock was starting to remind Jack of the Doctor.
He was certainly brilliant enough to help Torchwood sort out this particular invasion. Plenty attractive with those deep liquid eyes and the sonorous voice, not to mention a well-toned figure.
Naturally, Jack had attempted to show his appreciation, and the rebuff, while polite, also opened a few old wounds. Jack could handle the rare rejection, but he didn’t appreciate disapproval, not to mention persistent reminders that Spock had lost a companion who could never be replaced.
James T. Kirk must have been one hell of a guy.
And a lucky one.
