Title: Stranger In A Strange Land
Fandom: NCIS
Pairing: Tony/Ziva
Rating: G
Wordcount: 100
Notes: Drabble-a-Day 2011. Day 343. Prompt from ncisdrabble100. Challenge #268-Tree. Unbeta'd. Comments and concrit welcome.

Summary: Washington will never be Tel Aviv.

Another winter brings another Christmas.

The snow reminds her how far she is from home, but it’s the songs, trees, and decorations that still make her feel like a foreigner, despite her proudly-held US citizenship.

She’s made friends among Washington’s community of Israeli expats. There will be latkes, and heartfelt renditions of Ma'oz Tzur, but she still feels somewhat alienated from her all-American co-workers.

It’s only when DiNozzo completely butchers the pronunciation of Chag Sameach that the feelings come out.

Tony probably didn’t expect her to burst out laughing, or to hug him.

He doesn’t really seem to mind.
