I love this, and I love the resentment Brad has for the phone call. It could have been his night, and his night alone, but Jack had to go and call Gwen, just to make sure they were okay. :)

I hadn't wanted to make Brad at all angsty, but I got pissed as so many people saying he wasn't even a character, just a shallow body etc. Also, I didn't want him to fall into the Ianto trap so quickly, but I guess with Jack it's almost inevitable.

Very true. Everything is a one night stand for Jack, regardless of how special the person thinks they are.

I have a plot bunny that I have written. It's a reflective, Jack-centric piece. Would you mind taking a look at it for me, please?

Not sure Tom of Finland is the perfect comparison, but that man really seems to be a dream more than a flesh-and-blood being. Is the multiplicity four canon? I am now wondering whether I need a John Barrowman sexy!icon just to comment your drabbles :).

I knew it was kind of stretch, due to the lack of facial hair, but I was going for the Miltary Fetish look from the coat. I REALLY wanted to get in a John Rechy reference, especially to Rushes, but ran out of room. Also, while I know the TOF artwork is still around, John Rechy is somewhat out of favor and requires actual reading. Plus Brad doesn't doesn't strike me as a literary kind of guy. I did have a whole backstory for Joel as an older man, who'd known the John Rechy type characters in the late 70's. When I go back to longer fiction, I may want to revisit this idea.

Having a Barrowman icon is never a bad thing. I recommend the Proud Slut.

You're going to start writing long fictions again! Great news! (small happy dance).
Does this mean I can just grab your Proud Slut icon? (Of course with due credit) Including the dimples?

By all means. Grab the Proud Slut, since that's one of the few I actually made myself.

Yes. When the drabble-a-day project is over and after I've had some time to decompress, I do have some intention of going back to longer fic. Either to re-visit some of the ideas that I couldn't do justice to in 100 words, or some of the bunnies that have been languishing in their hutches, and which I feel highly guilty about.

I second the four things in one night being canon XD

Not a doubt in my mind. :) I was going to go into more detail where Brad says he wasn't worked over like that since the last Pride celebration and then it took for or five guys to do as much.

When I get back to longer fiction, I REALLY need to come back and revisit this story.

Yay, some fleshing out of Brad's character! I like this a lot. And I enjoyed learning about Tom of Finland.

Ouch, I'd almost forgotten about that phone call! Nice.

I hope Tom of Finland wasn't too big a shock for you. I figured with all that "period military attire" Jack would evoke that kind of image, even without the facial hair.

I LOVED the phone call, and I couldn't believe that Brad would really have slept through that whole scene.

Thanks for reading and commenting.
