He’d saved her in a way the Goddess never could.
Such an innocent kitten Hame had been when she took vows, wanting only to alleviate suffering. How foolish she was then. Often she awoke howling from nightmares of The Hospital.
The Face of Boe brought her comfort and kept her from succumbing to the alluringly coloured temptation of mood drugs, especially forgiveness. She tended to his needs, at least those that could still be satisfied. Sometimes he sent images of the ones that couldn’t. Hame feigned offense, but a purr always escaped.
How could she stay mad at her saviour?
