Oh, that's gorgeous. I love the self-realisation, and the simultaneous denial of same. That's the Doctor, all right!

Thanks! The Utopia arc is hardly subtle about the Doctor/Master relationship, but I think the Doctor definitely has some denial going on as well. I'm glad it all came across here.

Ooh, I like this. I hadn't thought about what a shock it must have been for him, but I think at the time I didn't realize what a long, involved relationship those two had had.

Me too. I came to New Who with virtually no back-ground, except vague ideas about scarves and jelly babies. The intensity of the Ten/Master stuff was off-the-charts even before I knew about the history of the characters. To me it still mostly (I'm sorry to say) comes down to the Simm/Tennant chemistry.

I remember watching it, being a fresh New Who fan, and going like "why the hell is he so surprised?". And then there's the Time Crash with "beard/wife" things... But I'm going off topic.
You really managed to show all these emotions in 100 words. And the Doctor is so very much himself in it - that's just amazing!

Thank you so much! The drabbles are a challenge, but when they come together, it's very gratifying.
