So much longing in so few lines. Great job.

Totally OT: I didn't know Italian girls were supposed to be hot, except in the literal sense; here the day temperatures are above 90 and I enjoy every minute of it. I didn't even put on the A/C in the car (it does go on when the three digits are reached, though).

I think Italian girls do have a reputation for sexiness and stylishness. At least in my mind. It'll be interesting to see what kind of weather you get for your visit to the Bay Area. All I can say is BRING LAYERS.

Glad you liked the story. I think it was reaction against the spoon-fed slash that keeps telling us that Neal wants Peter. I'm not saying he doesn't, but I like the idea of him getting wistful over El for a change.

This is a gorgeous image. El would look so sexy. Feel just a little bad for Neal. I'm sure he couldn't help himself.

I'm not really sure where this one came from, but I could definitely see El in sundress and Neal going all longing and wistful.

Thanks for the comment.

Kiss her, Neal! Kiss her!

This was great.

Thanks! I think it's slightly sad that the Neal/El chemistry is somewhat over-looked because of the slash obsession. I almost feel like Neal/El is the slash of White Collar, because it's the more "stealthy" relationship whereas Neal/Peter is out there in your face all the time.

I liked this very much. And I do agree with you. The Neal/Peter slash is usually very entertaining, but a little Neal/El fic is a nice change.

I'm sure there's something behind that "...next time your hot wife gets lonely..." comment.

I've started wondering if maybe, in a fandom where there's a popular slash pairing and TPTB are giving it LOTS of fanservice, right down to acknowledging the slashers, even if there will never be canon, then the non-canon "het" pairing is actually slashier than the slash pairing. Does that make sense?

I may need to write a Meta on this.

Thanks sweetie! Neal is one of those guys who always wants the one he can't have.
