That's ok. Although my original conception was darker. Not enough room to get in more back story.

Oh wonderful. Very realistic and nicely mixing in RL events. I would love to hear the darker backstory though... :)

But yes. I like it and it works well. I can't believe I never knew that they were involved until I was reading up on her on Wiki.

I wanted to make a stronger comparison between Connie's father and Sandra's mother and the fact that Bobby was willing to fight for Sandy, but not for Connie.

Which taking the two sets of stories together (and especially what Dodd Darin wrote in his book) seems to be the case.

Poor Connie! She's had a very hard life.

Revisiting this through your masterlist and after reading the book (Dodd's), I have to say it has a lot more impact. I could see that backstory quite easily having read the book.

Connie has, but she is still here - which I think says a lot. She's definitely a survivor.

I'm glad you've read the book, and can see where I was coming from in my Connie and Sandy fics. It's also a really well-written book. I really hope Sandy found some sort of peace before she passed on.
