Oh so awesome. You almost have me feeling sorry for Stephen again, too. Hugh wearing his shirt on Leno! sniff.
Love the "secret society" -- hopefully Jo and Daniel totally know what's going on and clue Gaby in. I love Stephen casually assessing Jesse too. Very good sense of place in all of these scenes too -- I got the feel of the locales immediately. And hee about the Ivy. And actually, all the background stuff about who Stephen knows and Hugh being mildly irritated by it was fabulous.
One minor nit: Gaby's not giving up her US citizenship. Americans who become citizens of Israel (or of many other countries as well) retain their US citizenship.
Thought of more fun stuff I liked after I posted this:
Uma -- one of the all-time great supporting characters. She and Emma need to get together.
Of *course* Tarantino knows him from the vampire movie. That whole scene was awesome.
Ethan -- both complaining about Billy Crudup (hee) and in the dream. Another great supporting character. (And an actor I like in RL a lot more now having seen "Coast of Utopia".)
Oh and all the little funny asides, like the anti-Presbyterian defamation league, and "so's the 405" and "never try to out-drink a rock star fifteen years my senior".
I'm so thrilled you continue to write this but I confess to feeling anxious about the outcome. Can't they all get stoned on Ethan's weed and live happily together all of them?
Thanks for the info about the citizenship. I might tweak that line to cover the point.
Your comments are always appreciated, as I know you've been on the ride with me from the start. It's especially nice to know that my Hollywood feels "real" even if it's mostly a fig newton of my imagination.
The idea that Hugh was wearing Stephen's shirt came straight from the Stephen/Hugh contingent in the day or two following the appearance. I hope they won't hate me too much for twisting their fanon to my own nefarious purposes.
Oh, this was good. That's so heartbreaking, for all of them. I'm glad I got more sympathy for Stephen this time, he's just as vulnerable as Hugh, and he seemed far more hurt and less (powerful and) vindictive this time. You've painted it all so believable, I was literally breathless through most of this slow-motion collision (averted at the last moment). I really feel for both Hugh and Bobby; I think they are acting reprehensibly towards Jo and Gaby, but the passion you describe between them is so convincing I can't help but feel they are "entitled" to it.

Thats exactly what I'm aiming for. I'm glad the "HOT" is working, but also that you can feel the pain and guilt and the fact that they are being bastards. Also happy that Stephen is somewhat "redeeemed" because I think that particular thread has run it's course. There will have to be different obstacles in the future.
Thanks again for reading and commenting. I'm a very happy comment crack whore today.
WHEW!!!! I worry that the "constant readers" will be let down by the newer installments.
I don't think there's any need to be mad at Stephen any more. What he did was awful, but he certainly paid the price.
Glad the HOT was a payoff. I feel like there was not enough smut per capita for such a long story, but given the circumstances, I couldn't get more in and I've never considered this a PWP kind of series.
Obviously the next thing to deal with will be the Emmy's and what Hugh said and how various characters react, but I'd also like to bring things closer to where are in time right now, so maybe also deal with the movie that Hugh is doing.

I love all the details you wrote about their "real" life, their relationship with other people.
I kept switching between being mad at SF and feel sorry for him and wanting to hug him.
I loved the part where Hugh visits Bobby, very hot :)
Now the countdown for the next chapter is starting but no pressure *g*
