Beautiful and interesting. I had hoped they'd cover the ambiguity a bit more, but now I'm glad they're leaving it be. Not sure they'd treat it with enough sensitivity.

Thanks sweetie! It was one those "see the prompt-get the image" things. I would actually love it if they did deal with some of it, but as you said, the writing lately has been so goddamned CLUNKY.

Thank you so much. My favorite line in Enemies Domestic was "We're not searching for the Afikomen." I wrote this before I saw it, so I'm glad I'm somewhat canon-compliant in terms of Ziva still acknowledging her Jewish tradtions, and possibly struggling with her identity as as an American when so much of her life was about being a Jew and an Israeli.

You captured her perfectly, because I always got the feeling from canon that despite her choosing America she still had strong ties to Israel and being a Jew.

I really loved this. Short, simple, and so very well done.

That last line, especially, because it points out that, even though Ziva chose her path, she doesn't turn her back on what she was raised on.

Really very well done.

Thank you so much! There are many things that annoy me about Ziva, but I love the depiction of her as a Jew and an Israeli, even as she makes the decision that her loyalty is to the United States, or at least Gibbs. I thought the end of Enemies Domestic was extremely moving, and that Eli is one more the complex characters to exist on the periphery of the main cast.

I agree wholeheartedly about Ziva. She's such an interesting character, with light places and shadows that make her all the more complex and intriguing.

Both of the Enemies episodes were great; though I'm still on the fence about Eli David. Something about him... He's not a simple character either. Like Ziva, his complexities are astounding.

This whole season has been an exercise is moral ambiguity and Eli is a seriously ambiguous character.
