Sunday was supposed to be Hair Day! I called Sebastian on Friday and we made our usual date for me to meet him at the Lake Merit BART station...and I was absolutely sure he said 1:30PM. I put it in my brand-spanking new cell phone and everything

I love those moments when watching a new show - the big one for me from Lie to Me was when they were tracking a rash of teen suicides (this is later in the season), and the US Attorney woman who's working on the case as well looked SO familiar...

And then I remembered her from Hotel Babylon when John Barrowman was on there, and cracked up remembering the scene she was in.

I can't wait for S2 to come out on DVD.

Oh yeah, we got to the Megan Dodd episode as well, although to me she'll always be Christine Dale from Spooks AND she turned up in last years House MD season premiere working at the mental hospital.

In the first 8 episodes, there's been a slew of folks who I recognized from House, NCIS, CSI and Bones.

You and I sound a lot alike when it comes to spotting character actors :) My roommate thinks I'm a little scary when we watch other procedurals and I'm all, "He was the creepy adult incest father guy from L&O: SVU!"

Or any other actor that appeared in a L&O episode or its spinoffs. Ditto with anyone who appeared in an episode of X-Files or pretty much anything shot in Vancouver :D

Oh God, I do the same thing: "It's the tough gangster on House! It's that guy who was on NCIS! Oh look, he's on SVU!" Some of those people really get around.

I remember seeing Jeremy Renner on House S4 and thinking, "What happened to him? He was a great actor!" And now he's...Jeremy Renner.

Hubby and I are always doing it. I try to place where I'm recognizing the actor from BEFORE I hit IMDB otherwise I can't take "points." I can usually pick them out, but sometimes it's like...where do I know that guy from and it's like an itch that HAS to be scratched. For instance the Secret Service guy on Lie to Me who turned out to be Supermodel's Dad from House. I KNEW I knew him but couldn't place it all until I checked..

(I use to have an actual memory. Now I have IMDB.)

It's also cool when one of them "upgrades" to getting their own series, like Tim McKay, going from, "Congressman who was friend of Gibbs' on NCIS" to "Peter Burke on White Collar."

I was very amused when they re-ran that NCIS ep before the S1 finale of White Collar. I'm pretty sure it was just a coincidence and it's the one they were up to, but it was so much fun watching Tim twice in one night :)

Go see it, but try to avoid any spoilers. Go in as cold as possible. Then come back and squeeeee with me.
