Once again, I'm being the creeper on your LJ that was a fan of your FFVII way back when, and am now seeing your posts pop up.

Higher education is a tricky thing. I don't know what program you're in, or where, or what...but I'll tell you, sometimes it's good to just sit with a book of poetry you love, or whatever your preferred reading is, and remember what it was like to be "naive" to academia. And "naive" to the world of "what is expected," should your field (or major, or whatever) be competitive and complex. Clears your head something fierce, I think. And basically, intuition, with art, is the best--and fuck everyone else and their crazy academic interpretations, because quite frankly, the fade away just as quickly as the popularity of certain writers/artists/etc. How ephemeral it all is, IMHO.
