The short and obnoxious comment: DO WANT. If and when you continue, I will be eager to see where this is going.

The slightly longer comment: The game leaves so much deliciously open, does it not? I find the idea of Balthier taking over Balfonheim... compelling. It's an intriguing premise, not simple in any of its aspects. One thing that leaps at me style-wise is that your point of view changes without warning; this makes for somewhat distracting reading, as I don't know whose thoughts I'm following at any given moment.

In any case, am looking forward to more of this! You seem to have a good grasp of the characters and a fine plot seed about to sprout.

Thank you! *g* Especially for the long comment. I think I've written in first person for too long - rereading it, I see where the perspective change flopped over.

The Silly Thing In My Brain is delightfully trying to get itself written both ways: back in time and forward in time. 8D 8D 8D BALTHIER, AMBITIOUS? NEVER.

I enjoyed this very much, particularly the way Balthier comes to take hold of the narrative voice throughout the piece and the contrast of Vaan and Penelo and Fran and Balthier's partnerships.

I look forward to reading more from you in this fandom.

Thank you! Final Fantasy XII has always screamed "write1!1" at me, but I haven't had the chance till now - plus there are already so many good writers in fandom!
