It's weird - writing is lonely and terrible when you have no ideas; you want people to ping off like pingpong balls. Then the moment something hits you, all you want to do is shut the world out so that you can write the world in. INSANITY.

SO TRUE. Makes me think of how authors go on these life binges, sex, drugs and debating halls, fifty cities in seven days, several thousand firsts experienced; as soon as they need to write it's out into the mountains, locked into a cabin box, and wryyyyyyte.

#5 hits me so hard. Why would Moist Von Lipvig try, why? The world is such a crushing thing when peopel try to be different, so why do they?

If you could ever bottle that motivation into a pill...

One day I will be a writer and there will be no one and no deadlines to stop me from living that insane and beautiful life. 8D

Moist just hits me so hard. I want to crawl into his brain and live there. Moist - it makes me wonder. Maybe Moist does it because it's so easy for him to be that "normal" that just doesn't really exist in real life - he's so fucking good at making other people believe anything that comes out of his mouth (lying) that being different (lying truthfully) is just a simple and fun new type of clothing to put on the next day while he's busy trying not to fall into one of Vetinari's giant life-traps. 8D

I was sucker punched by that facet of uni too. Fuck, it's really true. Learning is awesome.

I find that even without meaning too, the things that surround me academically bleed into my writing, and I won't even realize it for - sometimes it takes someone else to point it out. I am still undecided on my feelings about this. *g*

But yes, yes, yes. I could just get high off your grey matter. It's like this wonderful convergence of high thought and fierce adulation of the human animal, and I just want to sit with you on the edge of a cliff with champagne and green apples and talk about convergent evolution, the space-time continuum or lack thereof, the passion of Lilith and the nature of love as seen through mating seagulls.

♥ It's one of the greatest parts of being human, having things we don't expect leak into us.

Uh. Uh. I really didn't mean it that way. 8D

#2: In the begining of GW, Treize continually refers to the whole "show" he's putting on, especially when he tricks the boys into attacking the peace conference by making them think that it's all Oz. "The actors have taken the stage. Now it's time to raise the curtain." *bullshitting quote that's close enough* He constantly thinks in terms of appearance, how other people will see his actions and react to that, and how those reactions will appear to the world, and how he can manipulate that for his own good. Sacrificing Zechs, when I'm fairly sure he knew Zechs would make it out alive, because he had to for appearance's sake, even if Zechs had been his oldest and dearest friend. And there was double meaning behind that as well, because it was a chance for Zechs to get away and start anew. At the same time, he likely knew that Zechs couldn't leave well enough alone, and would add to the political battlefield in some way by going up to the colonies and putting his two cents in, and I imagine he was anticipating that as well. Even during ( ... )

Also, #5: It's called hope, an irrational force that keeps us breathing each day and getting up every morning and going to bed every night and dreaming that someday it'll get better. Either that or the cowardly fear of pain that keeps us from killing ourselves off.

Ho ho ho, I wonder if Treize would think that hope and greed are not merely synonyms! *thinks GWingly thoughts*

Oh, Zechs and Treize. How I love your amazing relationship. The other 5 pilots could spontaneously combust and I'd probably not notice... 8D
