Went out and bought myself a new copy of The Left Hand of Darkness, since my original is floating somewhere in Canada Land and requires an excavation to be found. Same beautiful edition - until I opened it and realised what a huge difference constant re-reading makes. My old book had been with me for around half a decade, and I'd read it at least ( Read more... )

Yep on that! :D Minekura I always end up loving more on paper than on screen, though - even though I love all the voice actors dearly. Maybe Wild Adapter will come out and change all of this...

I might buy a better edition myself after I'm done scribbling in this one (tiny font hurts my eyes! Also, I want one with more deserving cover art <3 )

Have no real recs for anime since you would have seen them anyway, or they're cyberpunk, which I think you said you're not a fan of?
I love Samurai Champloo! It's no surprise that Jin and Mugen push the right buttons for me, but with Fuu thrown into the mix SC has given me my first OT3. This is unexpected, since I'm not really partial to Fuu by herself. Need to try Cowboy Bebop.

*g* If I can find a nice copy again while in the US I shall ship it your way! I love my edition, oh yes I do, my precioussssssssssss.

I don't mind cyberpunk anime - it's cyberpunk books that give me a bit of a headache. Terminology and reality are a lot easier to accept visually. 8D Plus I am a huge GitS fan, so... :D
