The morning started well enough, trended bad, picked up again, went South again and now seems back to mediocrity, pending reactions.

( The details are trivial and pointless. The reasons, as always, purely human ones. )

I know. And normally it probably wouldn't have bothered me as much. I haven't been in a good place mentally for a few weeks.

Yeah, I've been somewhere similar. Best solutions - having lots to do and friends around - are suffering from lack of job and the difficulty of getting people to come to visit so I can make them dinner.
