Maybe my perspective is skewed because it's always been free to read books at the library. I don't think of it as money due me when someone checks my book out at the library. If they'd like to send me a dollar or buy a T-shirt, that would be nice, but I am not owed.
However, if someone photocopies my book and makes a living selling it without paying me, that kinda sucks and is the real point of copyright law.

I don't actually think it's that different from a library, unless the person who makes the pdf is charging people and keepin' my dough.
But then again, my book is only 10 bucks. Such a deal, who can resist?
I guess I just don't have it in me to hate on people for using the internet. I like the internet too much.

2) "I really must get this on DVD when it comes out..." (not the one coming out soon, of course, the one in the fall with all the Extra-Special Goodies, of course-a point which he also makes clear)
He's watched every episode of the series, it's the only thing we do watch (we don't have a TV now, but even before we decided to not take the spare with us when he moved, Adnrew was making plans to ensure that he could see Dr Who), and he's still happily planning to spend his money on it, thus I'm inclined to agree with stolentiara saying "I have to just assume that people will support what they like.
