The emotions journal is more 'delving' than I like. I woke up this morning remembering an incident from my past and thought about the emotions involved and then floated a little, you know how you do when no alarm has woken you up, and then started imagining if that whole incident were different. I think I used to be, but I'd written a story that was really about my relationship with my daughter. My mom said to me, "I know that story is really about you and me." I told her that it absolutely was not, but she didn't believe me and was hurt, and I sort of drew in my feelers for stretching out that way.

Yeah. Mommy issues. There oughtta be a statute of limitations, I'll say.

She makes some good points for being an on the table sort of person; you're lucky you are :)

You can do it :). Though there's the rewrites, so if you can get your theme and your characters and so much other that I know you're working on, well, just keep up your spirits about it all and keep writing, that's the real thing.
