I think the stress of worry is worse than one beer. Going off my OBs advice, "If you want a drink, have one. Not enough to get wasted or anything, but sure, you can have one sometimes."
Not that this matters now, but my doc actually recommended wine to me when I was having trouble eating. She was like "does it settle your stomach and make things a little easier to deal with? Then go ahead and have a glass."
If you're worried about things like booze affecting your breastmilk, or if you just wanna do SCIENCE, I recommend Milksense pads. You can use them to see whether you've still got booze in your system while nursing. OK, mostly, I recommend them for SCIENCE.
It matters to me! I just got my leave paperwork squared away-- I don't want to be sitting around the house doing nothing until possibly the end of July! *antsy*

Why does the paper work insist on an exact date when due dates are naturally subject to being +/- two weeks? :-P
I've put in for leave assuming a due date of 6-28, so I'm outta here two weeks before on 6-11. I'm technically on medical disability until the ninja is born, then the pregnancy leave/FMLA/vacation takes over.
But if the kid's actual due date is July 10, I have a decision to make-- suck it up and keep working for a few weeks longer, or stay on disability longer at a puny fraction of my paycheck. Both options suck.
(Of course after all this, he'll probably be born early. ;) )
