So I've always wondered what was in the big cube on Wilshire. You know, the huge white marble Borg cube labeled "Scottish Rite" with eagles and the Masonic symbols on it that used to be under construction, but isn't now. I could never figure out a way to get in, since I don't know a Mason, and I really have no reason to go there other than ( Read more... )

Yeah, apparently the actual Masonic orders are dying out because they aren't replacing their members with younger people. But that got me to thinking once about getting about 20 or so friends together and all joining a Masonic lodge together. "Dude, to run with our crowd, you have to take oaths."

Hey there motto is. If you want to be a Mason you have to ask a Mason. All we need is one to join.

Actually I read a article about a Elk's lodge in Austin. Seems they have a huge increase in their numbers. Mainly from Late 20somethings to 30somethings. Hanging out at the lodge bar doesn't sound so bad. Now if only they really had a fraternal order of waterbuffalo's. I'd join for the hat.
