The first weekend of November saw us in Melbourne, as a result of the Local Hero award I'd won back in May. We'd decided that the best use of my prize was to get a night's accommodation at the Park Hyatt there and spend a long weekend enjoying the city. Best. Idea. Ever

they've shown themselves to be seriously unprofessional by forgetting to email me at any point during the application process (even though everyone else was) or even to confirm that I didn't get the job there anyway. Not even considering that it's been more than a month since that process was completed.

People who don't email you back about jobs you didn't get are pathetic. People who don't email you back about jobs you didn't get in the company are....worse than that.

Couldn't agree more. I eventually decided to tell them to remove me from the list of possible secondees should another position come up in the future. No point working for someone I don't respect.
Obviously if the Spineless One leaves the bank, then that changes things, but by that point I'll probably be doing something else anyway.

Is "Man Som Hatar Kvinnor" the Swedish name for the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo? It seems awfully familiar somehow.

It's nice to know that you and Krista had a lovely weekend in Melbourne!
