definitely_dead so feel free to skip this if you'd like it's just my thoughts on how this season ended...
So after a pretty good season of True Blood I was so looking forward to one amazing finale but in the end I was left very disappointed. The only good things that the season 3 finale brought us were the sparage of one Mr. Eric Northman and a short appearance by Alcide Hervauex. Seeing Godric would have been great until he started scolding Eric for not being forgiving to Russell but how can you blame the guy? For one Russell wiped out his entire family and two he is a freaking Vampire! Granted so is/was Godric but he and Eric were two very different men.
Tara oh poor poor Tara I want to feel sorry for her but for some reason all she does is annoy me now. I had some sympathy when she lost Eggs but really all she did this season was act like a major biatch and cry and cry and yep you guessed it cry! I wouldn’t be to upset if her driving away from Merlotte’s was the last we had to see of her.
Lafayette freaking out about his “visions” made me laugh and then when Jesus confessed that it was part of the craft (not really his words but I’m a little fuzzy on the actual conversation right now) I thought LaLa was going to freak even more but then he smiled and in true Lafayette fashion made a bad situation look good.
Jason is a moron we all know this but him helping out the “Hot Shot” crew was a really good deed he did. I still don’t really care for the whole “Hot Shot” storyline but I guess Alan Ball was just staying as true to the books as possible, still all that inbreeding mess is just a little too much for me. I guess it will be interesting to see how all of it will play out though.
The moment between Sookie and Alcide in the bar was very sexually charged and hopefully now that Sookie has told both Bill and Eric that she never wants to see either of them again we will see more between those two or if not then still hope there is a lot more Alcide to come.
Not enough Pam in the finale, but not surprised there is never enough Pam.
Sam going all dark and mysterious is making me like his character more. Before he was just plain boring but at least now he has some kind of personality to him. I don’t think he really shot Tommy though maybe just shot at him to make him realize that he was serious, but even if he did I wouldn’t really care Tommy was a wee bit annoying in my opinion anyway.
Bill and Sophie-Ann duking it out should have been more. I mean they could have given us a bit more of that fight than just the two flying at each other that kind of sucked.
Sookie disappearing with the fairies was predictable. I mean she had just banished the man she loves from her life she needed to escape her world and what better way than to go hang out with Claudine and her fae family? I just wish that wasn’t the end of the episode because it was super weak and not a very good cliff hanger.
I give the finale a grade of C for “Could have been wayyyy better”.
