I'm not normally very excited or interested in live music, especially with more famous bands. Why pay over 100 dollars for a three-hour Radiohead concert when I can spend the same amount and get every Radiohead album and listen to them whenever I want? i've never paid more than $50 for a show...and i went to Green Day...but then...still the best band i've seen live would have to be Eve 6, about 6 months before they officially disbanded. They were an opening act, and i only actually went to the concert for them, but they improved everything and even though max (their lead singer) was ill, he still sounded great, even though the guitar amp broke half way through the song that any true eve 6 fan doesn't really like (it's misinterpretted all the time) it was still wonderful (mostly because max decided to dance instead)

i agree though, improvising and stories is better than just playing the album all the way through on stage
