Nice! I know nothing about art, but I know what I like. And I love the way you've used the colors on Flare and Sea. Very nice indeed - perhaps you should do more of this painting thing!

Thanks. :) The painting thing comes and goes. I'm thrilled that I was able to salvage those two:

heart had had a very dark core and no balance; I changed the deep red to the flowing red/yellow, added the orange flames (actually added a bunch more but the orange/red went over them as I figured out what I was doing), and added the top and right yellow lines for balance).

Hungry Sea was just plain (and also unbalanced). There'd been no sea, just a strip of graying brown. But blue-ing things, making it flow, and pulling it up into the other parts of the painting really helped.

Thanks for the comment!

I think they worked very well.

Now you need to wait for the art critics (I'm sure there are plenty out there!).

Oh this is so nice...

I love the hungry sea one and the top one that makes me think of a cat. The colors are amazing. They're muted and bright at the same time. Love that gray you worked in on that top picture.

:hehe: The userpic wasn't recent all that recent (and has been photoshopped a bit). The original is currently owned by buffysquirrel. :)

Based on a doodle I did, it's called Cat with Yarn on Rug:

I like your art work. That you paint is wonderful and I say do it for as long as you can and when you can. :)

Thanks :)

One problem with physical paintings is you have to find them good homes or they crowd. I've got stacks and stacks--and some are decent ;) Hard drive space is MUCH cheaper than sq. footage.

Thanks :D

That's my least favorite ;) But I don't quite like the style of it, and it's not at all what I actually wanted to paint. I'm thrilled if people like it, though. I'll take what I can get ;) And if. Something. Something. What? Lost my train of thought... oh, yeah. If enough people like it maybe I won't futz with it later. :)

I'm still having trouble visualizing what I wanted to paint, which is at least half of the problem; and the other half is just my technical ability is pretty low. :)

haha Isn't there a saying somewhere or at least a... something about how the work you dislike the most might be the best you've ever done? Or something to that effect. ;) In my opinion, it really is a neat painting of something I would have never even dreamed of. And a lot of accidents are todays best inventions. ;)

Let it be known that your technical ability is far past mine. ;)

I seem to always visualize paintings or comics as if I was ever able to draw/paint. No problem dreaming up something for some reason. I do that often with stories or if I have an opinion about something that ends up being funny. Kind of makes me want to start another stick person webcomic for the internetz to moan about. lol. i don't know what the point of saying that was. I just typed. xD

You should. ;) You know, or work on a computer game. Or your writing. Or both. While skanking. On a football field ;)
