The polls that I have seen have been pretty borderline.

Remember, the proposition which banned same-sex marriage in California (which was found to be unconstitutional this year) passed easily, with 61.4% of votes in favor of it (according to the Wikipedia article on Prop 8). ☹

The story was that the whole republican (almost wrote replicant) court slapping it down as unconstitutional really swung opinion. But Amy's info was from a talk a month ago, which may have been before all the absurd "yes on 8" ads. This last month has lasted forever. =/
