I just saw Spiderwick Chronicles and enjoyed it quite a bit!

I liked it too, but if you read the books--WOW it was completely different! They left out 90% of the story--but it was still a fun movie and Gina thought the Ogre was a "scary, pointy Monkey" He did look a little primate-ish.

Condensing 5 books into one movie can't be easy. I may give them a read!

I saw Holly Black at FaerieCon, but never got a chance to say hi.

They are definately worth a read! and the first book from the next series is out, Beyond the Spiderwick.

I've heard Holly is really sweet :)

I guess I was hoping they would make a sequel or two... Maybe they will with the next series!

I agree with Jodi, I liked it but it was soo different than the books! I know that it would be hard to make five books into one movie, but I was thinking about it the whole time I was reading them and thought they could probably do it. They are short books and they could make them even shorter with the movie. But they cut out so much, including two of my favorite parts! I know movies are different than books, but I still wish it followed the story more.
