Don't believe in the cliché that it's men who are mostly against abortion. Women who are convinved of it "being wrong" can be quite the fanatics about it too. (Think of the effect of one person transferring another person's situation, sensations and experiences onto themselves and then react to it and/or feel like they're going through the same, but with their own perception. - There's not a such a small part of females which in the issue of abortion goes like "no, I couldn't do this! I couldn't kill this little thing that grows inside me!" - so every other woman shouldn't be able to because "a baby is a baby! even if conceived through rape!"... - or "outrageous! a woman kills her unborn baby! Evil witch!! Take her to the stake and burn her!!" - perceiving it as a blasphemy that a woman can be minded to willingly terminate a pregnancy.)
