$80,000 for one year of college?

I was curious about the state of Maine -- I keep studying the geography of the US, thinking about potential places to live in retirement, even though I'm not sure I could really pick up and move to an entirely new rural location all by myself.  How would I build a social life from scratch in my 60s

Hm, if for the salary, this would seem logical as why the heck you go studying, put up all this effort and get indebted for it, if, in the end, you only get to acquire a job that pays you minium wage?
If you head out to take all this upon you, of course you expect something to come out of that and that being an investment to make in order to gain something...
