It turns out the steady non-carbon energy sources from hydro and nuclear are vulnerable to climate change --> previously unexpected drought patterns can dry up the water flows required for hydroelectric turbines and nuclear cooling towers.  Then you're suddenly without your steady sources of non-carbon electricity.  Oops.

I already got upon this regarding the nuclear power plants through a recent conversation.
Nuclear power plants are always build near a river or sea because they need cooling water for the active fuel rods.
But if the rivers who have been intended to supply that water for cooling down the fuel rods are as empty as now here, this becomes a very serious problem.
