I enjoyed the race and according to my watch I got a PR, so my complaints are not of the fatal sort. But I would not recommend running this race if you care about official results (such as, if you are trying to qualify for Boston

About 3 weeks ago I ran a 10K race in Raleigh, NC, and a similar problem occurred. I believe there are only a handful of companies that deal with the chip timing devices, and I wonder if we had the same company (Queen City Timing). This was the note that was forwarded on to us:
NOTE: We are missing a lot of chip times, and we do not know why. When the start times were downloaded, they contained a lot of bad times - any where from 36 minutes to 17 hours. These were, of course, eliminated which deleted a lot of start times

i'm just hoping that when i decide to run a (half) marathon there won't be a chip time screwup like this.
