The Law of Gravity: a TWEWY fanfic

Feb 02, 2012 20:19

This! Is! A fic just about four years in the making, which just happens to coincide with my trip through university. It's my take on the TWEWY post-game, cobbled together with parts from my 2008 fanfic Après l'Hiver, stuff from the year I wrote 365drabbles, and other things I'd scribbled down and discussed with friends of mine over the years ( Read more... )

Wow. That was just... Wow. Really powerful. And probably one of the most creative fourth-walling I have ever read.

I wish I could write a more coherent review about how amazing this is, but I'm just so completely out of words. And, I don't think anything I type will do this fic any justice so...

Just. Wow.

asdfjkl; thank you so much! A lot of the inspiration for the fourth-wall part came from an awesome course I took called Philosophy of Math, which was pretty much taught by Professor Sho Minamimoto, ahaha (minus the psychopathy, of course). It was he who suggested that fiction-reality (and math-reality) was a pocket of real-reality, which was kind of mind-boggling.

but yes, thank you so much!! <3 <3

ahaha, thanks so much! I'm glad I warned for spoilers <3 yaoi is great, but it's nice to get a break from it from time to time, isn't it?

(although I'm writing a research paper this term about the historical roots of yaoi, so. :3)

I love your writing style, and as someone else mentioned, the way you broke the fourth wall was awesome xD

Thank you! <3 I am a huge fan of breaking the fourth wall, haha. It's just so odd and interesting to me that someone as powerful as Joshua is, in a weird sort of way, as powerless as everyone else.

No problem, yo C: It's definitely a lot of fun to do, and I agree - it's really interesting to explore the ways in which an all powerful being could be powerless. xDD Certainly gives rise to interesting discussions/thoughts!
