Bored on a sunday evening

Yesterday, I made a futile attempt to clean my book-shelf. I found this copy of  translation of "Critique of Practical Reason" from Immanuel Kant lying somewhere down. I must have bought it while I was in Delhi. I was my queerest best when I was there.. I thought what a dud I am, not to have read such a masterpiece even after having it with me for ( Read more... )

well what are conjunctions and comma's made for:-p on sunday evening isn't practicing driving a better idea;)

thought - if someone can talk long sentences as in with pauses, long sentences .. does the same person also write long sentences.. I guess as a teacher one can get hold of some data to analyze the same:)

As an an "experienced-amateur", I avoid driving in the dark :P

For speaking long sentences, you yourself need to hold on to the idea coherently for a long time ;) For writing, you can keep forgetting what you wrote and keep adding whatever you feel like towards the end of the sentence :P

hmm .. and thinking long???:) long speakers need not think for that long .. atleast not always:-p

Frankly, I don't know ! It seems to suggest that we can not only "reason" things that we have cognition of but also those that we cannot perceive. Seems like a paradox to me because I don't see the difference between "reasoning" and "perceiving" :P

Thanks Anonymous :) But, sorry to say that I myself am quite bored with my life and I have no good experience with any motivational books :)

I think Kant first wrote Critique of Pure Reason, and in the opening sentence of this book he's trying to summarize the entire other book. No wonder it doesn't make any sense :)
