My driving is such a miserable failure that I have no hopes of ever driving a car properly. It is such a cumbersome business. I wish we had never bought a car and never taken up this hopeless pursuit ( Read more... )

Aw, don't give up...it takes years of practice. I live in San Diego, CA and there are THOUSANDS of people who STILL can't drive and they do it every day :) How they avoid collision, I'll never know :)

I concur. As far as I see, the only useful thing with a car (apart from being a status symbol) is that a family of 4-5 can travel together without hassles. First of all, it depreciates like crazy. Add to that the spiralling fuel prices, maintenence costs and the stress of driving through traffic these days.

Btw..which did you buy? Petrol/Diesel?

I think if you are comfortable with driving, it is a good thing to have around :)
