Hee hee hee hee hee! I finally had time to start this, and am enjoying it immensely. Especially this: The way she said ‘day off’ made it sound like Lex had shot an entire litter of puppies in front of her, rather than given her what was probably much-needed vacation time. But, for Mercy, time off was probably as bad as a death sentence. In many ways, she was just as incurably weird as Lex was. and this Wait…” he said, suddenly grasping the seriousness of this situation, “Lex didn’t…” A gulp. “Lex didn’t take the day off too?”
Mercy nodded, looking miserable and terrified.
Clark swore. “What is it? Mind control? Clone? Evil alien robot? Split into his good and evil halves due to Black Kryptonite accident?”
I should so know better. When the author labels the fic as crack I should pay attention, but I didn't, and giggling turned into snorting and now there is water all over the keyboard.
