Well! The network has been awfully slow of late, hasn't it? I suppose perhaps we've had other things on our mind, but it is good to keep in communication, hmm ( Read more... )

Most certainly I'd have picked differently. Maybe a deer or... well, anything but a crow.

And why might that be?

Bad experience with a crow. Also the whole "association with death" thing, it just reminds me of all the things that made my life complicated.

Ah, I see~ And I take it you're not missing those "complications"...

Probably. ... Something that doesn't want to sleep so much, at least.

Ah...Shinji-kun was a hedgehog, yes?

A-ah, yeah, that's right.

Mmm, but it's probably important for you to hibernate properly ♥

You would find all of that enlightening.

As for the question... well. I'm not really partial to mine, but it could certainly be worse. I have more important things to worry about in any case.

Oh? Good to hear. I'm willing to try just about anything at this point...

Well, it was! I'm quite used to the way my mind typically works, you know. Which isn't to say I let myself get caught in patterns, but it was really very different to have such a...simple mindset.

Hm~ I like yours ♥ The ears are soft~

As I said--I'm quite confident about this one. No guarantees, of course, but...

I prefer to stay the way I am. Cal me boring, if you must.

They're sort of annoying to try and brush my hair around, to be honest.

Of course. I know you're trying your best.

I enjoy being a monkey-thing. I still don't know what kind of monkey I am, but this tail has been really handy!

Is it fully or partially prehensile?

Reply

candyswords March 23 2009, 16:16:49 UTC
Well, I can grab things with it and it likes to wrap around my leg when I'm walking to keep out of the way... So maybe it's fully? I don't really know. Is there some sort of test I can do?

Reply

kanscientist March 23 2009, 17:29:44 UTC
Hm...Well, fully prehensile tails tend to have a bare patch to hold on to things, and they're stronger than partially prehensile ones--a lot of New World monkeys have those. If it's not that strong or dexterous, or has full covering it completely, it's probably partially prehensile.

I don't think I've had a fuss over it besides the molting.

But if I had to choose, maybe an otter? I keep the bouyancy, but have a better sense of smell....

kanscientist March 23 2009, 04:36:17 UTC
Mm, the molting is an annoyance. What sort of bird are you?

Otters are nice ♥ I believe one of our residents is one...

A duck.

Ooh, I think so too. Cute critters, mm? ♥

Well, I'm sure ducks are quite cute, too ♥ But yes, otters certainly are~
