i will be making my first rounds of the westport bar scene this weekend, and i'd love some suggestions & reasons behind those suggestions, namely specific events/shows/etc going on tomorrow or saturday that are worth checking out

If you haven't been to McCoy's I highly recommend you to go. I just moved to town approximately 2 weeks ago and my 2nd night here my friends took me there as a sort of welcome-to-the-city. ZOMG they have the best rootbeer EVAH. And they have an excellent selection of beers, the majority of which, I hear, they brew themselves. Not to mention a to-die-for food menu. YUM. I had the yankee pot roast....W.O.W.!!!!

i've also heard wonderful things about McCoy's and tried their rasperry beer once, I believe, so i'll probably be heading there. Thanks!

i wouldn't be so sure about that - i can't quite carry a tune in a bucket.

I am going to second Buzzard Beach for all the reasons previously stated. Also, Dark Horse is right next door (to the left when you're facing the front door) - it's pretty much the same, and the same crowd, but a LOT smaller - so watch out!

We have plenty of similar interests - mind if I friend you??
