A new coffee/foodie place is opening in downtown...I'm not sure about the hours yet, but I plan to find out very soon...apparently the owners live in my building.

Anywho, www.perkupop.com will be opening soon! :)

Being a coffee whore/diva, I'm always game for trying new places. Checking the menu they also have sammiches....mmm-mmm-mmm

Probably won't be visiting the one downtown, but there's one out by where I work.

So are you still living in the mushroom groves and fording the hallways to get to your apartment :P

yeah, as it turns out they wouldn't let me break my lease without paying once I took their offer to stay in a hotel, but I did let them know I contacted Seven on Your Side or something similar on one of the stations and that they really wanted to do a story here and I found someone who said he'd pay for me to break my lease if something bad happened again so long as I let the news station come in and do a story... he hates this building as much as everyone in it and he doesn't even live here. The news couldn't do a story on the building because the day they came out to setup for the story, the management posted a notice saying that the construction for the repairs was set to begin and last a week (AHHAHAHAA IT'S STILL GOING ON!) and then midway through the construction, an apartment had a pretty decent fire on the 6th floor, thus ruining flooring in pretty much every apartment on and below 6, so then MORE contractors had to come out to fix that mess....I'm without flooring in my 30ft entryway into my living room where it's down to the ( ... )

Sheesh! With all the water in the place, how does anything catch on fire?! With these kinds of horror stories I don't see how the word 'Professional' even fits in with the name of the building.

Now you can't even tell the police knocked a giant hole in the wall where the previous tenants were storing drugs

Look on the bright side. At least it was drugs and not bodies :P

well, i heard that the sprinkler system put out a pretty good hunk of the fire...looking around my apartment there are at least 10 sprinklers... however, the fire dept. still had to come running in to flood the place... hah.

ps. my windows are rattling hahaa. car alarms are going off. bahahah
