Recommendations for Home Addition and Renovations Architects/Builders

I am trying to look into the feasibility of adding a wheelchair accessible bedroom and bathroom onto my parents' Overland Park home so they will not be forced into moving into an assisted living facility. Does anyone have any knowledge of or experience with any architects, builders, or remodelers who have experience with this sort of work? Any ( Read more... )

you might want to check with Mobility First in Independence. (816)350-7600

Here is their website, although kind of bare-bones. They are, I believe, the only place in town that sells the equipment that you'll need, and also works with contractors to do the necessary modifications for the home. Speak with Bill.

Thank you. I'll see if I can get a list of recommended contractors from him. I was thinking about getting a lift chair for my mother, too, so double thanks.

not sure if they have experience with this sort of thing, but i nanny for the ladies at bnbdesign an architecture (and interior design) company. www.bnbdesign.com (erin is the architect) wouldn't hurt to give them a call!
