Anyone have a clue why all the sirens were on 24 Hwy off 291 by QT and BK last night?

I lived in Hawthorne Apts right behind that BK when I was a kid, and we had cops in there all the time. I would imagine it was business as usual?

No, this was bigger than regular business. Firetrucks, cops, ambulances, the whole thing. I guess I'll end up asking the QT staff and see if they know.

Because Hawthorne Apts was known as the "White Ghetto", that's condescending? It was true! I lived there back in the early 80's and it was generally trashy back then. I can imagine it's only gotten worse. Druggies, gangs, miscreants, welfare recipients, and other undesirables.

It's not condescending if it's true. It may have been a shitty place to live, but at least none of us stabbed our mothers to death.
