I noticed that "Blue Springs" is listed as an interest for this community. I have recently become a partner in Parkside Books in Blue Springs and wondered if there is an lj community where I can post information about the store, specials we run, and, since we are a used book store, what genre or categories of books we are accepting for credit?

Sorry to take all day to get back to you. We don't have a lot of textbooks in stock and because of rapid edition changes, the ones we have to sell may not be the ones that professors/teachers require for the Spring term. You may find a used copy of books that are recommended reading for some classes and we have a selection of Cliff Notes at a very reasonable price. I was surprised to find that Cliff Notes on the internet sometimes cost more than the actual book. I have noticed that some current editions of textbooks are listed on e-bay so that might be one place to look for the specific book that you need. Parkside Books is located on Hiway 7 in Blue Springs. (We are the only bookstore in town.)Many people drive right by us without knowing that we are there because our store is back away from the Hiway. We are behind Einstein Brothers and just south of Zarda's BBQ Restaurant

That's a great idea. I may do that. It would be a great place to post sale information and other news items. We hope to be holding some book signings for local authors and display artwork from area artists and photographers, as well. Thanks for the wonderful idea.
