Are there any tea shops or restaurants/cafes in the metro area that offer tea tastings? (You know, like wine tastings, but with tea.) Have you been to any of them and have any recommendations?

Teavana in Oak Park Mall.

I know that the Tea Market on 55th between Oak and Brookside has Tea Tastings and various classes. I've not attended any of them, though. The owner is friendly and she always has a flavor of tea ready to taste when you come in to the store.
Sadly, she hasn't updated the Event Page of the site in a few months. You could call and find out when they are though.

I think TeaDrops in Westport might . . . At least, they've been known to allow you to taste before you buy . . .
